Nicky is an American singer, songwriter and actor of Puerto Rican and Dominican descent. He is a key figure in urban Latin music, particularly reggaeton, fusing upbeat rhythms with soulful lyrics.
Nicky Jam's story is one of a man who has turned his failures into springboards for rebirth and brilliance. Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, and raised in a modest area of Puerto Rico, he discovered his passion for music at a very young age.
He quickly made a name for himself in the reggaeton world, but his early fame led him to excess. Alcohol and drugs plunged him into a destructive spiral that abruptly ended his career. He found himself alone, isolated and considered a washed-up artist by the music industry.
What makes his story so inspiring is his faith and his ability to pick himself up and rewrite his destiny. After hitting rock bottom, Nicky Jam decided to leave everything behind and rebuild his life in Colombia. There he embarked on a total transformation (physically, mentally and artistically). He adopted a healthy lifestyle and went back to basics: his passion for music.
In 2014, he made a triumphant return with hits such as Travesuras and El Perdón, marking the beginning of a new era. This comeback was no accident, but the result of incredible resilience and hard work.
His tattoo is loaded with symbolism: it beautifully combines clouds, a flash of divine light and the joined hands of Jesus, in prayer. It is a strong symbol of faith, but also of divine protection. Our work also includes a retouching of the cross, an iconic motif that Nicky has been wearing for over 20 years and which has become his personal emblem.
